About Us
The Story of LiveMetric
While technology rapidly transforms every aspect of our lives, keeping up with advancements in maintaining our health and well-being remains a challenge. Many of the innovations focus on lucrative interventional procedures while prevention and ongoing care measures, which have limited State or private coverage, remain distantly behind.
A prime example is the oscillometric blood pressure cuff, a 150-year-old technology. Half of the people around us suffer from either a cardiac condition or hypertension, or both, requiring them to know their blood pressure, what its profile over a circadian pattern is, and how it evolves overtime. Yet this device offers poor, sporadic data at best, and is often misused or simply left forgotten in the drawer.
At LiveMetric we have taken up the challenge to put to work two of the last decade’s major technological advances to redefine how we monitor our cardiac health. We have put together a technology that exhausts fast sensor techniques coupled with on-device signal processing, together with advances in machine learning, all to bring together a medical-grade, clinically-validated wristband that is capable of monitoring patients in hospitals, at home, at work, and practically anywhere, anytime.
The good news is that we have succeeded and we are looking forward to sharing this success.
